Our girls team once again did us very proud in the annual Glanmore Tournament. The girls managed to finish second in the tournament only to be beaten by a very good St. Bernadette’s team. Well done to Ms. Kearns and all the girls involved!!
We were very lucky here in St.Peter Apostle S.N.S to have a very special visit from David Gillick (former Olympic athlete who represented Ireland at the 2008 Olympics).
David was in the school to launch the Marathon Kids programme which will see our 5th/6th class children complete 26.2 miles over the course of eight weeks. The children will run the final mile at The National Sports campus where David Gillick will join them in completing this wonderful achievement!
Well done to all taking part and remember exercise is good for the mind and body!
Mrs. Lee’s 6th class had their Bake sale which took place in the classroom on Friday 16th March. All their amazing home baked goods went down a treat with both staff and students. Their brilliant effort raised a whopping €835.75 for the Irish Cancer Society. Well done to all involved and thank you to everyone for their support
Our annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade took place on Friday the 16th of March. The children were full of song and Irish cheer as they waved at the parents who came out to cheer them on.

Paddy’s Day Traditions
Logan, from Ms. Flanagan’s, is going to a parade in Bray for St. Patricks’ Day with his Nanny.
Ella is going to Waterford for St. Patrick’s Day.
Sport 3rd classes have started swimming lessons. Every Wednesday morning we get the bus to Ballyfermot. It was great fun.
Mason from Ms. Blake’s Class, travelled to Belfast and won his match.
Callum Kavanagh won his boxing fight last Monday.
Mr. McConville’s class got a new bulb for their interactive white board and it has made the board much brighter now!
Seán from Ms. Flanagan’s is going camping with his friend’s family over the midterm.
Our annual Paddy’s Day Parade is taking place Friday March 16th. It will take place at 11am and will begin at the schools gates; head towards Neilstown Garda Station, by Lett’s field and return to the school. Children will be in fully St. Patrick’s Day cheer wearing their green with pride. Parents, Guardians, Grandparents and all family members are welcome to line the streets to wave as our parade passes by.
Mrs. Lee 6th class will be holding a bake sale also on Friday March 16th. This is a charity event for their confirmation. All proceeds will be going to Irish Cancer Society. It will be held in Mrs. Lee’s room from 9am. We would like all kids and parents to support this event in any way possible. Any donations of cakes or buns would be greatly appreciated. Next Friday is Lá Glás were the children are to wear no uniform it is €2 per family with the proceeds also going to Irish Cancer Society.
Seachtain Na Gaeilge takes place this week within the school from March 12th till 16th. This is a week of Irish. Ceolchoirm will be taking place in the hall for the children to perform a song or dance in front of their fellow school friends.
We would like to congratulate our team would took part in the South Dublin Libraries Quiz. Winning the Clondalkin area and making it to the South Dublin Finals.
Last but not least we had a visit from the Sam Maguire Cup and Dublin All-Ireland Winner Aaron Byrne on January 25th. All the students where brought up to the hall to see the cup and Aaron, photos of this visit can be seen on the website in the coming weeks.
